Hey all,

Just upgraded to a HD 6970 from my HD 4850 Golden Sample. Used to run Skyrim easily on highish settings.

Now whenever I open the map, regardless of graphics options, my entire system reboots. No error messages, just black screen then reboot.

It's not a temperature issue - GPU stays at 60c under load. CPU gets to max 70c.

Specs are below:

Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz
HD 6970 2Gb
8Gb Ripjaws X DDR3
GA-P35C-DS3R
Vantec ION2+ 550W

I know it's not a power problem - I ran Fumark + Intel burn test to get 100%/100% usages, and the system was stable. BF3 on Ultra is fine. It's just the Skyrim map.

Any ideas?
