...to have anyone who's captured in a Black Soul Gem appear in the Soul Cairn as a spirit? This isn't a request thread or anything like that, as I know everybody's too busy to work on something like this. It's more me wondering how much work this would take, and whether it's something I could do myself in a reasonable amount of time. There's actually all kinds of stuff I'd love to do with souls and soul gems, but this seems like a fairly simple start - I did a small bit of modding in Oblivion and I assume the process is similar. My best guess is it would be a matter of applying a script to either Black Soul Gems or the Soul Trap effect which basically checks and then places a copy of the npc in the Soul Cairn with the ethereal effect and set non-hostile?

Am I on the right track?
