Gaming Records?

Post » Wed Aug 15, 2012 11:10 pm

Do you have any Gaming Records? Gaming Records as in stuff you did in a game in a good amount of time, or any other possible things such as highest level reached without dying...

I personally do have a record on a game called "Dino Crisis 2", I think. I don't have the game anymore but use to play it a lot.. One time I brought it over to a friend's house to play it with him but he doesn't have a memory card so we cannot save.. Instead, we decided to see who lasts longer in the game story since upon death, you respawn at your last save and no saves mean respawn at the very beginning... My one friend didn't last long, to be honest.. BUT, I actually ended up beating the game in 2 hours and 24 minutes... This means, I beat the game in that amount of time without saving or dying.

So what about you?

That's eight metres more than me. I think I went backwards. I'm not going to try for a re-run, though; or rather a re-fall.

I'm notoriously bad at not ever finishing games, or taking months or even years to finish them, which is why I was so impressed with myself when I finished Assassin's Creed Brotherhood in a week. It has to be some kind of record for me.

Last I checked I was rank 63 in the world on XBL for Megaman 9 Endless Attack. Close to the same spot on Megaman 10. I just don't have the time to sit there for 6 hours trying to get #1. I want it though.

At one point in time I was in the top 10 on CoD WaW HC War playlist for XBL.

Somewhere out the is a KI:Gold cart with me being #1 Legendary Ranking.

I don't know about now but I held some top 10 spots on Castlevania HD XBL for time attack and score. Both using Soma and Charlette. For one week I was #1 using Charlette on Chapter 10 Hard. That was difficult to do.

I'm sure there are others I just can't remember them.

135,000 on an arcade Pacman back in the day; it was the 5th Key level.

I don't remember the score, but I played for 3 hours on the Atari 2600 Space Invaders. Think I was in 5th grade and had a leg in a cast over summer vacation. Mom made me a sandwhich that I ate while a played :foodndrink:

I only put some effort into two games with online ranking, but here they are

I got ranked 356 of 33000+ people in the Score Attack in the PS3 version Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown 2-3 weeks ago, although I've probably lost some rank since then. Should still be among the top500, I hope

In most of the Speedruns on the PC version of Mirror's Edge I'm ranked among the top100.

Another thing I did back in the PS1 days was to go from the beginning to Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear Solid, without saving even once and without being detected even once.

When it comes to high scores I had very high scores in Pac-Man and Galaga, far better than any of my gaming friends. Played those lots.

I also managed to beat minesweeper in 0 seconds :P

My little brother did this on MGS3 European Extreme and beat it. His MGS skills are godly.

I scored over 3 hundred million points on ball one in Theater of Magic----> http://youtu.be/hO5I23sVgeM :D.
I also got a billion points in The Machine: Bride of Pinbot but sadly I didn't record the video.

I got 100% completion in Timespliiters 2, which requires breaking all the records in all the challenges.

I beat http://i.minus.com/iV3DvrikkXe8P.png and http://i.minus.com/ibuQ0UhJcXJ1b4.png without spending any continues. (I still need to work on maximizing my score though)

Never done any speedruns though, I like to take my time with games.

Not bad. I always wanted to get this, but could never get one or two challenges complete. I got gold or better on most of the challenges, but I couldn't get better than bronze on 3 or 4 (and none at all on like 1 or 2).

On a related note, we need Timesplitters 4 already (PC + Console).

The story mode on hard difficulty (also required for 100%) was even worse than the challenges. :banghead:

I am still able to utterly svck at both the first Super Mario Bros. game and the first Sonic game. I have never gotten past the early levels in all my 15 years of gaming.

My friends and I, like 10 years ago, had a Street Fighter II (SNES) tournament. I took 1st with Ken and won around 70% of all the other matches we had.

Speaking about rankings.. I manage to get into the top 1,000 best ratings in the Conquest minigame on RuneScape.. (Conquest is basicly RuneScape's Battle Chess game. Played the heck outta that minigame b4 I quit the actually game. I think my rank went down since then though but not by much since there isn't many smart players on that game)

I've beaten QWOP. Multiple times.

It's not that hard once you get the sequence and rhythm down, though I still can't get the dude to walk like a normal person... I had him strut his way to the finish line. :P

On a game called 'Osu!', I'm rank 67 on a song called 'Vanessa'. I'm quite proud of it :)

Aside from online ranks and stuff, I was really happy that I recently (and finally) beat Perfect Dark 64 on the highest difficulty :)
