deeper places then black reach

Post » Thu Aug 16, 2012 12:40 pm

i don't know if this has been brought up before so don't bite my head off please

i think it would be cool if they made a DLC that is deeper than black reach and had entrances and exits all
over skyrim. with new ore, monsters, new cities, ETC.

what do you think?

Please give your own thoughts and feelings.

I don't understand the point of this? It seems to be pretty much exactly what Blackreach already does. it is deep and it has entrances and exits all over skyrim. Why make something that is such a similar and redundant design?

Has Descent into the Depths of the Earth/Vault of the Drow nostalgiagasm.

The big deal with going underground is it doesn't interfere with future games, possibly an issue with all the "I want to go to Elsweyr in a DLC", and the like, wishes.

that idea sounds more like a job for a mod designer(s) rather than bgs themselves. i would rather they work on adding world spaces in their DLC that is different than what we have already seen.

It doesn't though, it has exits around the northern mountains, the idea of a gigantic cave system that's all linked together, that could potentially be entered from The Reach and exit near the borders of Morrowind is epic.

I'm probably going to get flammed for this, but I think it would be cool. If you discovered a tunnel network that leads you to an underground city. So it's pretty much like those Locust tunnels and Nexus(underground capital city of the http://gearsofwar.wikia.com/wiki/Locust_Horde) in Gears of War.

no that would be cool, although that was kind of what black reach was (albeit a city in ruins), As i said though it would be cool if a group of modders designed an underground area the likes of which the OP suggested, and maybe have a preserved dwarven city underground.

DLC based on the reemerging Dwemer or Pure Falmer? A properly populated underground city or collection of cities connected via tunnels.

This game doesn't actually have a dominant underground society, I can't remember the last TES that did. I wouldn't mind an intricate system similar to that of the Locust, the Deep Roads in Dragon Age, or just an emerging realm of Oblivion (return of Mehrunes Dagon) that is based underground, so simulate Hell?

Possibilities are endless, I'd love for Beth to explore this at some point, in DLC or in TES VI.

it never made sense to me that the Dwemer were a thousand years more advanced than any other race during their time. then they all of a sudden disappeared. i think they went underground and are biding their time until they reemerge and conquer all,

no. they all died. without spoiling it for you, they tapped into a specific power source and then began to abuse it. eventually resulting to their entire race being destroyed. This information about the dwemer was explained in morrowind.
