Creepiest stories ever thread

Post » Thu Aug 16, 2012 7:52 pm

Hey guys, I was inspired by the silly things that scared you as a kid thread, to make this.

Now, what are some of the most well written, scary stories ever in your guys opinion? Stories that give you chills, that make it hard to sleep at night.

My contribution would have to be the story White with Red. Look it up, I'd prefer not to link to creepypasta. So without further ado, let's freak each other out!

I'd recommend checking out some http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL100E6F8D8D47702F&feature=plcp (the later ones are better.) This guy is an amazing narrator.

Some cool creepy stories I read recently were in the supernatural section of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_urban_legends page.

What linked me to it was an even creepier http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sasebo_slashing (creepier because it's true). The video depicting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luka_Magnotta crimes is really freaky too, but I won't link to that. Just the wikipedia page on the story.

This one always makes my mind run rampant:

"The last man on Earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door."

Written by Frederic Brown (I believe)

Altough, dependent on the person it could also be a really boring storing. It could be a tree outside the house from which a branch hits the door because of the wind...or it could be ZOMBIE ALIENS!!!

Human imagination is an amazing thing. Maybe authors should stop filling books with all those words and sentences and just focus on single line imagination boosting senctences.
Stop taking away our imagination authors!

Come to think of it, it might be a fun to start a thread just to ask what everyone thinks of when reading this sentence.

Well, It wasn't the story itself as it was, in my opinion, badly written. But the picture of Jeff The Killer creeped me the [censored] out for a week :D

Creepiest story I ever read was on cracked about an urban legend that is supposedly true.
There was this guy that lived alone (in Japan) and some homeless woman snuck into his apartment and lived/hid in his cubpoard until he left then she would come out and mess with stuff and generally live in his apartment with him completely unaware of it and wondering how stuff got moved/left around.

Your 16 year old daughter is pregnant, the guy ran away, and you have to pay child support.
