Is it true that if you discover all the giant camps and then do this quest, they will no longer re-spawn? also do they normally re-spawn after a week?

If every giant camp has already been cleared before completing this quest, the giants will be extinct, as will the mammoths.

I never do some Giants hunting before. (I have, actually. But never notice something like that). So I can't tell you.
But if wiki says so, then it might be.

I don't think so. It's listed as trivia, not a bug - the author probably meant that the only giants in Skyrim live either in camps or in that hidden valley, so when you kill them off there are no giants left.

Giants camps respawn, so it's only temporary :smile:

Oh, and nothing respawns after a week. The time is 10 days for normal locations and 30 days for cleared.

I beat up the two Giants at the camp near Whiterun a while ago. Just went and checked and they've respawned because the camp is inhabited by Giants again.
