Dev's can we get some Acrobatics (Increased Jumping Height)

Post » Sat Aug 18, 2012 10:39 am

Just a simple capped enchantment that we can put to hoods or boots, This would be perfect for stealth players in Skyrim

Im not looking to jump over castles like in Oblivion. Just enough to jump onto the small houses in the towns, Maybe x4 the current jumping height.

That seems like it could be fun to play with. Seems like it roughly falls into the same area as Whirlwind Sprint. I can only imagine the game play videos that would result if something akin to what you're seeking is released.

Then look what happens things get removed, I find it odd that people level their characters to be obscenely powerful and then guess what they complain about what they did.

Now look at magic...

Most likely Illusion, then Sneaking will get thrown in with Archery. Conjuration will stay for the next two TES games. After that society will say it's not nice towards dead people and it will be removed from the game.

Sorry.

Here is something I propose where we could have perks and attributes and a deeper leveling system that allows us even more control of our characters.

I want attribute back in the game definitely for more freedom over your build not limitations. Also the system should be set similar to Daggerfalls and you have your attributes your skills and your perks but you have the attributes without the annoying number multiplier you allocate the points to where you want. You can have general perks to tie into the attributes as well let intelligence determine your magic reserves and let intelligence and willpower combined determine your proficiency with spell creation and the magnitude and duration or area of effect and then have your attribute determine how many effects you can weave together.

Let speed dictate how long you can sprint or how fast.

Let agility determine your jumping height. Then we have acrobatics back.

Let strength determine if your mage can carry a war hammer by division of the weapon types based in your attribute level and the general perk you choose.

All if this can be supplemented with the skills and their subsequent perks.

Understood, But I would not want to be able to run superfast just to be able to jump higher. I can deal with the characters current running speed as is. If they have a perk or enchantment for both would be fine by me as long as they are not combined.

Yes that is why your given perks with different speeds and perks that allow a fuller stamina meter you have the choice like you do here in Skyrim. You choose what perks to use in the general perk section.

You should be able to stack on the enchantment like you could in Morrowind it added to the gave gave more options to play. Also magic effects everything in this game even jumping height: it would be fine to jump very high this is touched upon in the thieves guild quest in Skyrim.

I'm for this suggestion. Every new DLC offers Bethesda the chance to shoehorn things into the game that should have been there to begin with; No lengthy debate or fanmade mechanics are really required here. I'd really like them to add at least acrobatics back in, maybe a spell under alteration for waterwalking and another for levitation (flame atronachs can do one and the vampire lords can do the other, after all, so there's precedence in skyrim), at the extreme athletics, unarmed, unarmoured and some conjuration diversity back, if it wasn't too much to ask.

To me, though, acrobatics was the most glaring omission besides attributes themselves.

Yes without acrobatics the acrobat character build is gone.

The biggest loss I think was spell creation and the spells we have lost followed by both attributes and acrobatics.

Honestly, I use non-basic magic so little I'd forgotten about those things. I only think about them when someone mentions them here. That's not because I don't like magic, it's because the magic in skyrim svcks.

So yeah. That's more important than acrobatics.

I would very much enjoy a brand new Acrobatics perk tree.
