hey I need your help, I'm doing the Thieves Guild and I'm on Scoundrel's Folly. I have to shadow or follow the Argonian named Gulum-Ei down to the docks well the moment he left the winking sheaver he was missing. I went into the docks area and threw the warehouse following the marker and he is just gone!! I can't go back to any saves to restart the quest either I didn't save them soooooooo now what without the completion of this quest how will I be able to access the next quest so I can proceed to get the Nightingale armor?? Oh yeah I'm on xbox not pc... HELP!! Is there any other thieves guild side quest that will access the nightingale quest?? Thanks.............

Your best bet is to do a save, then maybe clear out the cave that the East Empire Company warehouse leads to (it's called Brinewater Grotto). He may be at the end of the cave (a bug may have transported him there directly instead of having him first walk through the warehouse). If you were on PC it could be fixed with console commands, but for Xbox this is the only solution I can think of.

Generally he's right outside the Winking Skeever. He walks the entire way but you MUST follow him (it doesn't fail the quest if you are seen) or else he doesn't progress. Other than that I think you are SOL, you may just have to restart (if you have not previous saves with that character) or start from a previous save (before you spoke to him).
