PS3 inputoutput problem

Post » Mon Aug 20, 2012 12:18 am

Anyone had an issue with the PS3 not giving any signal? I can turn it on and it gets power but my tv isn't reading anything. Changed to all 3 of the different connections on the TV with no luck. I haven't done anything but move it from one room to the other so not sure what could have happened.. but I'm starting to have some AC withdrawals...

I could google the issue, but I hate combing through the random results so I thought I'd see what you guys have to say. If all else fails, I'll have to buy another one but I'd REALLY like to avoid that if possible.

Try moving it back to your other room. If it still works in that room, move it back to the other room, check connections, and make sure the TV is on the right setting for the PS3.

This, and if it doesn't work with the other TV too, might be something wrong with your cables.

Composite or HDMI?

My high def downstairs TV had 3 HDMI ports, I tried every single one, multiple times. The television would not detect the HDMI cable. I attempted this 3 years ago on Christmas (the HDTV was a gift) and I was really dissapointed. The composite cables worked though.
