Elder Scrolls Books and Lore

So far I have not been able to find any other game which offered such vast lore and history as TES.It is quite amazing.I tend to spend a lot of time on UESP reading about Tamriel's history and such.It is unbelievable and interesting. What are your thoughts on it?

Since Skyrim was my first (and still only) TES game, I was both amazed and delighted to discover that I'd just been plopped into what felt like a world instead of game. I've told non-players that starting Skyrim was a bit like being dropped into the middle of one of the LOTR books or movies.

TES history/lore is what keeps me around more so than the games. I love the world and the lore, which given the chance, you should really head over to the Lore Fourm and pick the brains of the Lore-Khans over there. You'd be amazed at how much you can learn, and to use a cliched phrase, see just how far the rabit hole goes :P

First?! ONLY?! Madame/Sir you do yourself a disservice. I can't speak for your own tastes but I think everyone can find something to enjoy in Morrowind. Oblivion as well, though I'm still at odds with that title. You don't have to go all the way back to Daggerfall or Arena to really appreciate the series, thankfully. They haven't aged well.

It's always hard to go backwards in time though. I don't think I'd have nearly the same appreciation for the series had I not started dutifully on "The First Book" rather than the... 11th? I forget how many mobile games there were.

I have since bought the GOTY editions of both Morrowind and Oblivion, but have yet to install them. Not quite tired of tinkering with Skyrim yet. :)

Same. It's the reason each successive game is still better for me in spite of the decrease in good gameplay.

Dunno what you're talking about, Daggerfall is the best game of all time.
