Just wondering about A Night To Remember...does anyone know of any bugs still associated with this quest? I wandered into the Bannered Mare the other day at level 23, thinking he'd be there, and he wasn't. If I happened to miss him at some earlier point, does this still mess up the quest, or does he normally reappear someplace else?

In my experience he shows up at the inn closest to where you were when you hit lvl 14. He's shown up in all my games, but sometimes I haven't encountered him until lvl 18 or 20 just because I hit lvl 14 somewhere and never went back there (or to the closest inn) until then.

I've tried this out 3 times now and he does not move around. He will be in an Inn, in whatever hold you were in when you hit level 14. Once there he stays there until you approach him and have the contest. You don't even have to accept the challenge the first time. He will remain there until you do accept the challenge. If you can remember where you were it's easier but if not you'll have to go around to all the Inn's. Only walled cities if that helps. I've had him in Whiterun, Riften and Markarth. He does not move around.

This has been my experience as well, through 3 characters thus far.

Interesting...I have no idea where I was at level 14, but I'm pretty sure I was around that when I passed the Nightgate Inn and ran into Krosis. Any chance he could be at Nightgate?

Dunno, on my current playthough I must of missed him early on as I met him when I was late 30's or early 40's

I thought he was supposed to stay put as well, but on one of my games I'm pretty sure he was in Bannered Mare on level 20, then disappeared and I saw him in the Winking Skeever level 30. Maybe just check in all the inns.

Yup, I don't think he is missing, I think player's just have a hard time finding him. If you are level 14 during the college of winterhold quests, he will be at the tavern of winterhold, etc. Anywhere you were when you hit level 14, he will spawn in the nearest tavern.
