http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/659943965/planetary-annihilation-a-next-generation-rts, a spiritual successor of Total Annihilation, looks like it will be amazing if developed. Only a few days into it's Kickstart it's already two thirds the way to it's funding goals, so things are looking promising. I really want to see this game see the light of day.

It's been too long since we had a good grand scale RTS with huge maps. Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance was the last title I was truly impressed with, and this one definitely offers a new twist to the genre.

I went into this thread thinking someone had started a kickstarter to destroy the planet, this is much less fun.

Looks like an interesting concept. I've not really played any RTS games lately but I would get this games. Hope they will be able to get the funding they need.
