Frequent Frame-rate drops 1.7

Post » Fri Aug 24, 2012 12:52 am

At first with 1.7 the frame-rate drops were only going between zones. But now it seems to happen at the most random moments. (for example I had a orc who wanted to sell me skoma, i said it was illegal so he went to kill me and the frame rate dropped for that fight only.) I have uninstalled my game data and reinstalled but im running into the same issue. Will these random frame rate drops ever be fixed? I personally think it would help if they gave us a option to turn off v-sync but thats my point of view.

This is being reported on 360 and PC as well, clearly something in the patch is causing some sort of memory leak or similar effect crippling performance universally across the board. Possible reasoning for SCEE failing the patch in Europe?

If it is true, they are the only that noticed the problem and also this mean that they don't want a broken game :)

Well it gives a new meaning to the terms used in the patch notes.

General optimisations eh? ;)

I too have this problem. I posted about it last week. Frames per second and micro freezes(hiccups) happening even though I deleted everything from Skyrim and reinstalled game and patch, then created a new charactor. It was noticable right from the start. I'm at level 20 with new charactor, now, and it IS getting worse as I go. I've only done main story line quests so far. I'm maybe only 20ish hours in with save file reaching 3800mb.
pre 1.7 was far better as far as frme rates go.

Well my question is if they are redoing it for EU does that mean the US and the other system's will get an updated patch as well?

I'd guess that as soon as M$ learns that PS3 EU has a better version of 1.06 than they do. They will raise a [censored] storm like this title needs. Maybe then the gaming sites will finally realize that Beth lied to everyone about how good this game was at release.
