Is it Stable?

I don't have any tech problems with this game as I haven't purchased it yet. I've posted in this forum because it seems to be the closest in relation to my questions.

I have Skyrim for the Xbox and I'm considering buying it for PC as well, especially since I discoverd that I can just convert my save files from console to PC. I'm not concerned about running the game because I have an i7 2600k (3.4 ghz), EVGA Geforce 570 and 8 gig RAM so it should smoothly on my system.

My question is: are there many problems with the PC version? I do see a lot of posts with different issues but it's hard to determine if all these issues are only a small percentage of users. Is it worth picking up now or should I wait until the mess is cleaned up?

EDIT: I'm running WIndows 7 64-bit

I get a crash or CTD every 30th hour of gameplay or so, so yeah, pretty stable for me.

This with an AMD 5050e CPU, Radeon 6770 1GB, 6GB RAM and Windows 7 64-bit.

Actually, thinking about it, I don't think I've experienced a single crash since I upgraded from XP to Windows 7 about 3 months ago.

Never had crashes with my version. And I'm running XP.

Really, it comes down to how your system is built. Mine has been relatively good with gamesas games. Aside from the Crash-on-exit with Oblivion (due to mods) and typical crashes on Morrowind, I don't have any significant bugs that are caused because of my system.

You can see my basic specs. I built this rig myself and it is strictly a gaming rig. There is nothing on it except gaming requirements. An example: I run the Witcher 2 maxed out with a great FPS so this game should run fine. I just want to make sure that it wasn't plagued with bugs. I appreciate all of this input. Thank you!!
