Basically what it says in the title, just wondering as I enjoy sneaking with my Bosmer archer and want to know if its worth using a crossbow?

Yeah. Their basically bows for purposes of sneak attacks and skill perks.

Crossbows are much better for sneak-OHKOING due to the increased damage per shot, but once you're detected the awkward reload slowdown and sluggish firing speed can miff you up a bit. Took me a while to get used to, but by then I had the perks to eliminate those problems so it didn't hurt too much.
