Nirn or earth?

Just noticed the preacher in whiterun in front of the talos shrine says the elves can't stand us on earth but isn't it Nirn? Mistake or me making a mistake?

He means earth and not Earth

He means earth as in the material plane of existence where the actions of mortals play out.

Nirn is the planet still, and the other planets are the Aedra.

Much like Pluto in our solar system, there are those that argue that Talos should no longer be considered a planet god. :cryvaultboy:

Earth cant also be a non proper noun. As in an element. Speaking of, i wish they would have added earth destruction spells. Like flinging rocks or causing earthquakes, or even make instant active volcanoes. That would be sooo sick.

Earth is the name of our planet, and a generalized name for ground. It dates from middle english, and is can be exchanged with the word "Terra", which was the roman goddess that personified the plant.

Yes, our planet is bascially named "Ground."
