Logic

I decided to take Logic 1 & 2 instead of college algebra, considering my major is English.

Does anyone here have experience with logic courses? We didn't really mess with much logic in my philosophy course last semester... we just barely went over some fallacies.

Basically, how complex does this stuff get; what am I in for; what is logic as a course?

And a bonus question: Is it 'bad' to use fallacies on purpose? I find them to be highly useful against the average person.

Shouldn't you have asked this question before signing up?

Logically, yes. I guess that's why he needs the course.

Well, if you're using fallacies to support your argument, then how great is your argument to begin with? lol. Logic is meant to strengthen your argument, add credence, not invalidate it.

With bad intention, yes, and if you do it to someone who's ignorant, even worse.
