LucasartBethesdaObsidian Entertainment Star Wars RPG?

Post » Mon Aug 27, 2012 4:14 pm

I don't know about you guys but I absolutely feel that Star Wars need one open-spaced RPG (note: I said RPG and not MMORPG) just like Skyrim or New Vegas, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II are the two best RPGs the Star Wars serie have (note: I said RPGs not MMORPGs) and they're like 8 years old, Now Star Wars is more into MMORPG and it killed RPG, now in my opinion Star Wars should do something similar to Skyrim and New Vegas, that's why I think Lucasarts should do something with Bethesda and/or Obisidian Entertainment to make a huge, non linear, open spaced RPG just like Skyrim or New Vegas. Don't get me wrong, the KotOR series was sure freakin' awesome but it could've been even better if they had some stuff from the Fallout and TES series. Also Obisidian Entertainment already worked on New Vegas and KotOR II so I think that's one more step to have a Skyrim/New Vegas engine based Star Wars RPG. Here's what I think there should be in the next Star Wars RPG (If there will be any in the future)

Huge storyline, like a really, really huge storyline with lots of DLCs
Huge chraracters creation possibilities (like a wide range of races you can choose of for your character, tattos and others)
Lots of side quests or faction based side/primary quests just like in New Vegas or Skyrim
Space/Flight/Air combat with X-wings and everything
Wider range of armors/weapons/clothing
Talking/Chat system just like Skyrim or New Vegas (not Cinematic just like KotOR)
Possibility to have a wife and/or child
Possibility to own a house and/or spaceship
Possibility to travel freely between planets
Possibility to choose the era you want to play in (Pre Movies Era / Movies Era / Post Movies Era)
Start as an normal person, not a Jedi or a Sith and be able to become one if the player wants to
Combat system like Skyrim or New Vegas but enhenced to introduce the Jedi/Sith techniques and powers
Possibility to become a bounty hunter (or have any side jobs) to earn credits
Possibility to switch between the first and third person
Food/Drinks/Drugs and others (Not just medpacks)
Possibility to have NPCs partners/companions just like New Vegas and Skyrim (Not companions you control like in KotOR series)

That's all I got for the moment, I might add stuff later so expect some edits in my post.

Tell me what you think about it.

Well firstly, this is in the wrong section of the forum.

Obsidian means great story, lots of bugs.
Bethesda means not so great story, lots of bugs.
Lucasarts means money grabbing POS, probably with bugs.

Lucasarts plus Obsidian was Kotor 2, and modders have spent years fixing it and putting back in what was cut, do we really want a repeat of that? And that list of what you want to see will mean, wait for it, lots of bugs.

Sorry

It would be cool, but Bethesda is busy with TES and Fallout, Obsidian would make the sequel cuz thats all they really do, and Lucasarts would just be the publisher. But i'm all for an open-world/galaxy star wars RPG.
