Depends on where you're headed in your (planned) degree.
Geometry is a must for any field where you are working with building/manipulating phisychal objects, or computer graphics. Of course, these also use higher-level forms of geometry outside of "calculate the are of a square" or "What's the total volume of this box?"
However, it's not required (though may come in handy and/or reccomended) if you'll be focusing on abstract things, such as Chemistry, business, economics, etc.
I would reccomend you focus more on the Geometry to get at least a passing grade if it's a beginner's course. Otherwise, talk with your school's councilor and see what options are available, or even if it's required.
