Maybe they're not showing Hidden Achievements?

Are there Hidden Achievements on 360 though? I'm primarily a PC/PS3 gamer. Though I do have a 360, I just hardly use it.

Thank you for posting this.

Political Suicide: The most spoilerific achievement.
Spoiler

This is probably the non-lethal option for assassinating Lord Regent. Now that's a non-lethal option that I would choose!

Lights Out:
Spoiler

Does this mean we're leaving Dunwall for a mission? Or is Kingsparrow Island part of Dunwall?

Food Chain and Mercy in the Mask:
Spoiler

I believe these two are connected. You either kill Daud (Food Chain) or let him live (Mercy in the Mask). Shame, he seems so awesome, I would've loved him as an ally. I'll almost definitely spare him, unless... he's the one that killed The Empress (Just speculation)! Hopefully if you spare him he will ally with you, but I doubt it. These achievements lead me to believe either:
 • Daud tries to kill you.
 • Daud is an assassination target.
 • Both.
I really hope they don't (I'm sure they won't, since they said there will be none) turn him into a boss fight. That would be horrible. No boss fights. I'm still extremely intrigued by Daud.

Those non-lethal achievements may make me replay the game a few times, even though I've never replayed a game before.

Harm's Way intrigues me. How would you get guards to kill themselves? I'll have to try out my theory on: Two guards next to each other, Bend Time, Shadow Kill one, jump to the rafters, resume time, watch other freak out, possibly kill self.

Should I make an assumptions list and a solidified information list with these achievements? I have a few theories and some of these achievements solidify information we already had and adding to it as well.

Guard shoots, bend time, possesses other guard, walk him in front of first guard's bullet, resume time

How dare you not replay Bastion!

Time Bend? Some of those can't be done in one playthrough. How will you steam Morgan to death when their wearabouts are randomized every time?

There are a lot of things we can talk about so I suggest we better get to writing. I am compiling a large amount of discussion on this topic. This should be fun!

That would give you Mainpulator, but you're correct, you could do the walk-a-guard-in-front-of-his-own-bullet.

I am asking Harvey which one of these aren't accurate. It seems a lot of them are missing even. But some seem to be spot on, the story ones.

I think Morgan may be in the steam room every time, and only Custis is randomized.

Well turns out one of my theories was dead wrong since I misread something. Waiting for Harvey to read through them and tell me wassup.

But both Morgan and his brother weren't in the same rooms in one of the playthroughs. And some can't be completed without stopping time and others are violent, so it's safe to say all achievements in one playthrough are impossible to get. Unless there is a spell which makes two Corvos. (Arkane, call me...)

Update: https://twitter.com/Harvey1966
https://twitter.com/StrifeCross Haha, no more Q&A from me!

PWND! OK, speculation thread, it's happening.

I would say that's obvious because you can't get the no-kill achievements in the same playthrough where you kill people with all the weapons/gadgets achievement.

Yes, you're correct, you can't get all on one playthrough. At least two.

Correct.

A note on the achievements: some of these feature spoilers, so I ask that you not discuss the achievements in threads other than this one. Thanks

I understand your concern, but can we create other threads about them if we include
or something of the sort in the thread title? People are going to be talking about spoilers eventually, why not now?

I'm getting to the point where I don't want any new info or videos. I feel the game is close enough now that I can take a break from the all consuming obsessive thoughts of Dishonored so everything feels fresh when the game comes out. I can say this safely from my hyperbolic chamber known as Skyrim.

Just be careful with it. Definitely put a spoiler warning in a thread title if you intend to discuss a very spoilery subject. And on top of that I'd still use the spoiler tags:
Dishonored is a game
Whenever you mention a spoiler in any thread, even the ones with spoiler warnings in the title. When the game actually comes out there will be a separate spoiler section.

Anything related to the achievements can probably be discussed in this thread.

Well they look a pain in the ass. Glad they were posted here.

That's some more to the not buying it side. It's getting a lot bigger than the buy it side now.
The stealth part always put me off from the start. Me getting this game, 70 % not, 30& maybe, always.
Cannot stand stealth, ever.
Trophies for not killing stuff, that's ridiculous. Wussy, pointless, stupid, trophies.
Looks like it's one of those games with immpossible trophies.

Impossible? What games have you been playing?

Well stealth isn't for everyone that's understandable.

Trophies for not killing people is not ridiculous. It should be encouraged even because it's a harder approach. And it isn't neither pointless nor stupid. Stealth and pacifism in games takes a lot more skill than almost every other game out there because of the patience, self-control and perfectionism involved.

Too bad people these days are "I WANT TO SHOOT THINGS AND KILL SLIGHTLY BROWN PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT 'MERICANS!". Yeah, sorry, this game doesn't have that.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/dishonored/achievements/

It's a slightly better list to use if you're trying to avoid spoilers. 17 of the 50 are secret in the list above. You can still draw inferences though from a couple for story events. I think I could draft up a list that's completely story spoiler free---even excise achievements that would seem obvious and add hidden ones that are action conditional and not story strictly speaking. If anyone here is interested and trusts me enough to do so, I'll be glad to. I can put spoiler tags around the rest and give parenthetical information on how aware of Dishonored you should be before viewing. Here's an example for the proposed list that needs a minimal amount of knowledge.

Faceless:
Spoiler
After escaping Coldridge Prison, you completed a mission without killing anyone.
(To view this achievement, you should at least have seen the Debut Trailer)

Now maybe that's being overly cautious---especially since you can look at that and 32 others on the site I linked to, but I would rather provide some universal information than have people nervous to look to keep the surprise. Incidentally, the one Mak lists as the biggest spoiler is not blanked out on the 360 site (but it also doesn't have speculation attached to it).

Let me know peeps because CJ is back and he wants to help you!

Isn't the point of trophies to reward the player for doing something difficult? I know the trend is 'you completed the tutorial, have a trophy! You finished the first level, have another one!' but I don't see how having actual challenging trophies/achievements can be anything but a good thing.

You don't have to play stealthy if you don't want to. You don't need to collect all trophies. Play in whatever way you like.
