Was it possible to do it before the patch? Never saw it under "Daedric" blacksmithing....

It is only available at the Skyforge of the Companions. And crafting this armor was always possible.

It's possible after you finish the Companions questline, not before. But as already stated, only at the Skyforge.

you must complete the Companions questline, and then you can smith it at the Skyforge.
It is supposed to be under Daedric but sometimes it bugs and appears under Draugr

I love the ancient nord armor and weapons. It's the only heavy armor I'll wear.
