My issue is on the PS3 of course. Here's what I did and got it to work again for a short while. After downloading and installing the 1.6/1.7 patch, it worked flawlessly for a few days. Then after a save of high level character, the same character I had been playing with flawlessly. My saves would not load. Disc was spotless uninstalled all Skyrim saves, data and update data. from every profile. Reconstructed files and database. Reinstalled w patch no loading. repeated first process w/o patch install it loaded and started to work on a new profile. Started a game on previous profile worked as well. Game froze, reinstalled the 1.06/1.7 patch and and worked up until I saved again and turned it off.Now game screen will not even load up. just a black screen. Other games play fine. So at this point I cannot even play Skyrim. Any help from Bethesda staff would be greatly appreciated. I sent an email to Bethesda describing the problem It has been two days and no response.

When your first attempt does not succed try again. Defragmenting the PS3 is really not needed I really don't know where this came from. Delete the game data, delete the patch, reinstall.

Your save data may be corupt, we can discuss that later. When loading never use the continue button it is known to fail often, always use the load game choice.
