Hearthfire thread # 999999999999999999

Post » Wed Aug 29, 2012 11:19 pm

Am I the only one mildly excited about this? I've been playing Skyrim the last few hours on my main, scouting areas i'd like to set up a home. I just hope it's not in 'preset locations' that they've scripted. Already found a few very nice locales that I would love to set up a home for myself.

I wouldn't mind a home around Falkreath with trophies of my latest hunts. Including a collection of eyes. For no reason. It'd actually just be some boring slightly large home. Gutslit prefers his home to be low profile just because he wants neighbors to leave him alone. Which is why he lives in a cave right now. Right by Whiterun. It's a mod added house.

i think there will be some limits on where you can build, some scripted grounds all over the place.. If you could build it everywhere, people would go nuts on the mountains and mess it all up =)

Dying to play the new DLC, I always wanted a house next to one of the lakes out in the middle of no where. Where I can do my magicka experiments in peace........

And? I wanna put a house on top of High hrothgar so that when I go outside I can go "Ohai Paarth!"

No you're not the only one excited. When I popped in the forums earlier and saw the madness I watched the video on youtube and started giggling like a school girl. I was also wondering the same thing on whether they're going to restrict us to certain preset locations or if we can just start 'a building.

As many have stated, I think you can only build in the Falkreath hold, the Pale, and Hjaalmarch. So, there will be limitations, but I think those holds cover the land people are looking for . You have a woodland like Falkreath, a cold snowy place like the Pale, and the swampy Hjaalmarch.

They will most likely be restricted to scripted zones.

Heh, that's not too bad. Unfortunately I won't be able to give a big middle finger to the fine people of Morthal and build my house right in the middle of town but I think the Falkreath wilderness will suffice.

dangit. I had a few areas around Riften that would've made nice spots. Off to look around Falkreath it is then I guess. :/

I wouldn't mind making a little shack on a place that looks like Pride Rock. Of course, that would never happen. Bethesda is making us Lion King fans swad now! Or now. We can make Simbas that have six packs in this game. I know I did... A few months ago.

I'm a huge Lion King fan. I liked the first one more than the second though. Been a long long time since I've seen either of them but I'm pretty sure the first one made me cry when I was a young lad.Twas the golden era of animated Disney movies.

Edit: Eh, stupid double post. Sorry

I'm super excited to build my own house, I really hope that you can build a badass bathroom, with a golden shower and an enchanted toilet.
Seriously though, time to start making more Septims, baby needs shoes! More mouths to feed, renos add up. I wonder how expensive everything will be?

Golden shower, eh? So you like to get freaky then?

You do bring up a good question though. I have some septims stored away but I don't know if it's enough for a whole family and house. These are my septims.

Im a horder when it comes to loot and gold, so i've got plenty of stuff to sell off if my 45k+ isn't enough for the house. Unmarried Khajiit, so no worries on family.
