Just curious if anyone else plays like a console player on their PC like I do.

About 6 months ago I splashed out on an over clocked i7 8GB RAM, GTX 680 4GB to hook up to my main TV which is a 56' Philips 21:9 Cinema screen (which by the way I'd never recommend for gaming as the resolution is screwy...)

I've bought a Logitech G13 Gamepad (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboards/g13-advanced-gameboard ) to rest on the arm of the chair and I sometimes use an xbox 360 controller for certain games.

I was wondering if anyone else has a similar PC/TV set up and what peripherals you use?

Or alternatively, what are your 'must' have PC peripherals even if you play at a desktop with a monitor?..

I'm not doing exactly the same thing, but I use my laptop screen to play with my Xbox (via a TV tuner) due to a lack of a TV

I've done it a few times with my laptop hooked up to play games like Amnesia, Mount & Blade, Total War series and a few FPS games, but nothing that really stuck.
However these days I am REALLY wanting to get a desktop and have it hooked to the TV permanently to play games that way, however I don't have the cash yet T_T
Else I have a 51" Samsung with 3D which would just be sweet stuff with a good gamer, am thinking just getting a good i5 core with a gtx560ti with enough ram n' such ^^

And the way I play usually goes with a controller or simply keyboard with a mouse at a distance

Spend the money on a good rig, then blow it all with a crappy TV.

You are losing most of the quality because the TV is stretching the 1920x1080 image to fit the 56" of screen.
