I'm surprised they're doing another Judge Dredd Movie but why no use Sylvester Stalone? I thought he did a great Judge Dredd. Although Karl Urban would make a decent Judge Dredd but still no Sylvester.

I really hope this is a better remake/reboot than Conan(which was so bad it hurt).

Why would they do a remake with Sylvester Stalone as the main character... I had to sit through the original movie translating what he says, I'm not about to sit through another

I thought this was going to be about a moderator getting tired of forum shenanigans. Oh well. :(

What i found lacking in the new judge dredd was the fact that it looks like 2 cops in fancy bullet proof vests and filmed in a slightly modified american city, and they carry around conventional firearms, this looks like its really cheap.

I thought Sylvester Stallone made a rather poor Judge Dredd. Really out of character, apart from the fact that Dredd is supposed to be much older and skinnier: kind of a futuristic Dirty Harry, really. The first Dredd film was also a bit cheesy; the couple of reviews I've seen of this one have been a bit short on details but have described it as being much closer to the comic strip, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

I loved the first one but this one looks better. One of the few times technological advancements will make a remake better than the original.

I was kinda interested when hearing the hearsay about it a while back, but when the trailers came out and were flashing "IN 3D3D3D3D3D3D3D3D!!!!111!!!!!111!!!!" I wanted no part of it.

The new Conan was supposed to be closer to the books, yet it touched man ass compared to the original.

Just remembered where Judge Dredd's name came from: back in the '70s, 2000AD had a tendency to make all sorts of references to pop culture, music in particular. Judge Dread was actually a reggae, er, musician of sorts. Apparently worked as a bouncer in his spare time, he was reggae's answer to the Carry On films. All very juvenile.

That's always a risk, but we'll have to wait and see. I just remember that the Stallone film was only vaguely acquainted with the comics I used to read as a kid...

Well Anthrax obsess over him in some of their songs; if Anthrax love him, I'll see this and love him too.
