Just so you know, the current Skyrim's size is 10Gb

Skyrim + Official Hi-res Texture Pack + Dawnguard = http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/2674/steamskyrimi.png so far. I had a hard disk crash today and had to reinstall the whole thing. This is obviously the size of Skyrim vanilla with no mods at all, the backup/restore feature doesn't take into account anything else. Not sure if it was worth a thread, but hey. I guess people shouldn't complain that Skyrim is small anymore

Discovered the same thing, got a new Alienware laptop and was like, "well, hell, how do I reinstall the DLCs?" Steam packages whatever you "purchased" for SK together for re-download, which is kind of neat.

If you think that's bad look at battlefield 3. Each of the patches is around 2gb each. I had to stop playing the game because my small hdd for my xbox couldn't store all of the patches(there's a lot of them).

My Dragon Age :Origins folder still kicks it but at 18 gigs

I don't see your point? Isn't 10GB average for 2012 games? Star Wars The Old Republic is 40GB big.

The only thing I'd ever complain about are a lot of heavily compressed audio speech files. Sometimes, it's not like people standing in front of you, it sounds like a Skype call with someone at the other side of the planet.
