Original game + Dawnguard

Game freezes when opening the 'blood sealed' gate in the main quest line.

It freezes repeatedly and prevents me from getting on with the main quest line.

Has any others encountered this and is there any fix for it?

Problem solved, steps involved

* Removing hi-res textures
* Telling additional npc (sword maiden) to stay back
* Not facing the door
