So, About Sovngarde...

Post » Sun Sep 02, 2012 7:44 pm

So, we know Sovngarde exists because we actually go to it in the main quest. My question is though: Are only Nords, or their ancestors (Atmorans), allowed to go to Sovngarde upon dying a "valiant death"? When you go into the Hall of Valor, all of the dead are clearly at least human. If non-Nords aren't allowed to go there, then where do say Mer, Khajiit, Redguards, Bretons and Argonians go upon their deaths?

Just a question, not sure if maybe its been asked already or if its already been answered, if thats so, point me in the right direction, I'm curious as to what the answer may be.

I think the running theory is Sovngarde is just a section of the Dream Sleeve where all souls go to be recycled/reincarnated (unless they're still on Nirn, or have been claimed by a Daedric Prince/soul trapped). So Nords go to Sovngarde because they want to go to Sovngarde. Other races go to where they want to go.

Don't quote me on that, though.
