The Oculus Rift has me really excited about the future of gaming. 110 degree FOV,ultra low latency head tracking and support from the legendary John Carmack is enough to make any gamer have all sorts of gasms. But this is directed straight at Mr. Carmack himself . I know that he has been experimenting with the Rift and as a gamer I am BEGGING him in the name of all that is sacred, to see if he can get the Leap Motion Tech integrated with the Oculus. I think it would kick all shapes and varieties of ass, if they could have a custom Leap sensor with a 110 degree arc design built into the rim of the Oculus to give us ultra low latency motion detection. The applications for gaming on this are absolutely MIND [censored]ING. Imagine manipulating objects with the precision the leap can give, and seeing your arms and hands represented with low latency. This WILL fundamentally change gaming as we know it . And if anybody can do it its him.
