Problems with new PS3 update

Post » Mon Sep 03, 2012 2:47 pm

I just installed the latest update on PS3 (2.05 or 1.7 I think it is)

Since installing it Skyrim has become unplayable, my Character just walks through walls, my hands look empty when I have spells equipped and certain doors are not there, just a big hole which when I enter I drop through the scenery.

Has anyone else experienced it and how can I fix it?

That is new one. But yes you need to delate the game data not your game saves and reinstall. If it doesn't work I am sorry but it's broke for good and welcome to the forums.

I deleted my game data and update data but my saves will not load up as they are from a later version, i reinstalled the update and the same thing happens.

Well if you're going to be around the forums more don't worry the PS3 community will support you as best as they can.

We try to be helpful. Even if the only answer is save often you can never have too many save files.
Turn off the autosaves they have a large % chance of causing lag, corupted saves, and long load times.
Also never use the continue button. It tends to be broken. Always load from the load screen.

Welcome to the forums. good luck.

Speak for yourself, I don't try to be helpful I just am, there is no try... :D

I disagree with everyone on the auto-saves. Keeping it on and living with the freezes and small chance of infinite loading screen or one of the three slots corrupting is a small price to pay to make sure you doubt have to repeat hours of progress because you forgot to save. Keep the autosave on and make a fresh manual before taking a new quest.

Other advice, bookmark this page: http://uesp.net/ - you'll definitely need it. Also keep this forum bookmarked, there's some great guys here with a lot of experience and the way we see it we have to help each other because Bethesda sure as hell aren't going to help us.
