I don't know about all of you, but I am NOT looking forward to Elder Scrolls online.. :/
I heard that the battle system is going to be like WoW, and everythings going to be typical like that, and that the AI's are going to be like any other game...What gives, Bethesda?

Bethesda hasn't done anything.

TES: Online isn't being made by Bethesda.

Zenimax Online is the studio responsible. http://www.zenimaxonline.com/ http://www.zenimaxonline.com/faq.html

As Talaran said, it is being made by Zenimax Online Studios. And you should give http://tamrielfoundry.com/development-faq/ a read. It tell you all the things we know of TESO as of now :)

And if reading the faq doesn't convince you that it's not a WoW clone, I don't know what will ;)

Agreed with this. And as to the concerns regarding "TESO being like WoW", I can, after two-and-a-half years' experience say that -very- little of the aspects TESO features are directly derived from WoW.

The monster AI is planned to be pretty much similar to that of earlier TES games, most notably Skyrim.
You do have a hotbar system like WoW, yes, but the amount of buttons is much smaller, and reminds me much more of the quickbar slots in earlier TES games; The only difference to the latter is that you don't need to separately activate them with your mouse to use.
Ducking, blocking and sprinting are all player-defined movements, which means the game system does not decide whether or not you are hit or you dodge; You do that yourself.
Combat focuses on Stamina management, unlike WoW. The better you manage as a melee, the more Finesse you gain and the sooner you can unleash your "ultimate move". I believe the same goes for mages, although they will mostly focus on Magicka management.
You do not have "quest hubs" in TESO; Instead, you have a compass to direct you to nearby caves, quests, and other points of interest in the wilderness - directly derived from the earlier TES games.

That is only a small sample of the features the Tamriel Foundry Development FAQ has wrapped of the released information.

A little history lesson for you...

Originally, it was just Bethesda Softworks. They had their games published by a third party. When they became profitable enough they decided that they wanted to be able to publish their own titles. So they created ZeniMax Media to be the administrative-level company and restructured Bethesda Softworks into the publishing division. At the same time, Bethesda Game Studios was formed, and all developers previously attached to Bethesda Softworks were transferred to BGS. BS has authority over BGS in that they control the marketing, release schedules and distribution of the product, thus imposing timetables and deadlines. But I would imagine that their marketing and commercialization schedules for a given game do not begin until the game in question reaches a certain milestone while staying on internal schedule... After the internal restructuring, ZM began taking obtaining third party developers and adding them to their internal assets, most notable among them is Id Software and their titles are also bublished by BS. Now ZeniMax is looking to break into the MMO arena and so they formed ZeniMax Online Studios, staffed it with industry professionals and gave it its own separate budget.

Now you are up to speed, Kitty'eh

I have a solution to the problem. If you attempt to post in the ESO temp forums, you must first answer a security question. Failure to answer appropriately will result in the inability to post on the forums, that is until you answer correctly. ;)

The question will be the following:

The Elder Scrolls Online is development by:
(1) Bethesda
(2) Zenimax

Combat will not be like WoW. The game will still have a six slot toolbar, but it will be real time and much more action-oriented, similar to GW2.

AI is going to be completely different from your standard MMO. Not only are aggro mechanics being removed, but an room of mobs will attack players on sight and use team work and synergy to beat players, just like players will in PvP.

Also as suggested above this game is being developed by ZeniMax Online.
