Role play can enhance the elder scroll series beyond the programming itself, offering personality and incredible storytelling to individual characters beyond their class and role. Sure, we all kill dragons and loot chests, explore dark caves and long forgotten ruins, but why is your character doing these things? Share your stories and motivations.

Hexen Fell was a member of the monastic order of warrior monks, worshipping not a divine or daedric prince, but the art of swordplay and the infinite complexities of martial perfection. A sword saint. Believing that armor and enchantment caused a weakening of technique, every saint chooses a blade and dedicates himself to the perfection of it's crafting and use. No magicks shall taint the steel, for the skilled use can overcome any obstacle. Dedicated to the principles of fluid movement, armor isn't necessary when a foes blade never finds the saint. The order was founded in southern Vvardenfell, and grew there over generations as each saint is bound to an ancestor, his spirit mentor and guardian. When the fires came and Red Mountain could contain it's fury no more, Hexen left for Skyrim. The harsh environments there and civil conflict proved an adept training ground for his skills. When captured by the Imperials during the night, several found themselves outmatched by his dark elven blades, though numbers won out. Seeing the plight of the people, he set to using his newfound powers of the Thu'um to ease their suffering. Guided by the ancestors, he seeks the wyrm wherever they may be found, testing his blades in the forgefires of combat. For each life he takes of the mortal races, he leaves five gold coins, so that their ancestors might find them, and recognize their spirits in each of the elements to welcome them home. He keeps no residence, preferring the road and sky, and never travels with more than he needs for survival. His quarry is ancient and powerful, but he will see the tyranny ended lest all become ash and barren.

My Argonian character:

Well he once had wealth, power and the love of a beautiful women. Now he only has two things. His friends and ummm his thermos. It was never easy for him. He was born a poor Redguard child. He remembers the days sitting on the porch with his family, singing and dancing down in Hammerfell.
