Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted on here before... but I haven't used these forums for quite some time (since about Skyrim came out). But I've had a problem with this particular quest every time I attempt to play through it.

The quest is Diplomatic Immunity. When I give my items to Malborn to smuggle in, they tend to just disappear when I go to retrieve them later on in the embassy. For example, about two months ago I only handed him my greatsword (Steel) and a Staff of Frostbite. When I opened the chest to get the items, the only thing within was the sword. But no staff.

And just today (after forgetting this glitch keeps happening to me), I handed him my Steel armor set, an Orcish sword, my crossbow, and my Dragon Priest mask (Krosis). However, after opening the chest, there's nothing but Steel Boots in there. Normally I didn't care, since equipment can be re-bought/found. But this means I'm down on one of the Dragon Priest masks - rendering my collection incomplete.

Is anyone else having/had this problem before? Seems every time I attempt this quest, I'm always missing at least one piece of equipment. And is there any way I can get my mask back without having to restart my game? (all my autosaves and previous saves are from quests I was doing before heading to the embassy).
