i want to go slay some dragons again i haven't since i bought the game

i keep meaning to but i get bored of the characters ive created

but with my most recent character which is again a mage i feel like dragon slaying would be fun again because if i miss i dont has to look for my arrows (then again this is my 1st character that has had patch 1.7 so arrows should despawn and ash piles should despawn in theory i havent gone to look for places where things made ash piles to check if they got despawn d or not tho)

any way i wnat to slay dragons but im just lacking ice spear my last mage was a storm mage and was proficent with lightning for most part

this new mage is frost based cuz face it frost is OVER POWERDED it slows enemies it stuns them it freezes them solid it drains stamina it stops enemies attacking mid attack and not to mention it takes away health

all other destruction attacks do two effects take away health and with lightning drain mana which npcs apparently have an unlimited supply of so mostly just does damage and fire attacks just do a small amount of damage over time (and with the one perk makes them run away so they can regain lost health and sneak attack you from behind)

ice spike is all good but id really like to drive a spear into something

I know Faralda as the college sells it but I believe your destruction has to be a certain level.

yeah pretty much any court mage for any of the hold will sell it, but you need a destruction of 50 i think. I know it has to be a certain level before people will sell it, just not sure which level exactly.

Also ice mages are overpowered in one way for slowing people down, but they balance it out by being in skyrim and 50% of the population at least is nords. Most of the bandit chiefs for example are nords usually, and ice isnt very effective on them, same with draugr have an immunity to ice. But yeah on anything that doesnt resist it, ice is definitely OPed.

hmm. Wait you said icy spear. I thought you meant ice spike. Im pretty sure Icy spear you need level 75 destruction if im not mistaken. Also check the destruction chick in the college if anybody would have it it would be her.

is ice wall available at that point as well i hope i can boost my manna / lower my destruction cost enough to be able to cast a dual casted ice wall for like 60 seocnds before runnign out of manna
