Skyrim...

I'll be playing and suddenly the screen will drop.
HDMI at the top right corner as if the computer was unpluged from the computer.
A second later, everything is back.

Not a huge problem but I was wondering if there is a fix for this?
A friend mentioned something about vsync.
Others say It's Skyrim itself and me going from Ultra to Medium (I'm not the flashy type)
Resolution is good. (I think, Skyrim is set to the recomended spec of my regular display)

if you've been messing with skyrims ini files especialy with the shadows this may be causing the issues, 8k primaries and 4k secondries maybe the issue
(delete ini's and let skyrim generate new ones)

driver crash, update driver, if the issue is still there after the update your cpu and memory maybe functioning erronously

if you monitor and a old crt internal components maybe wareing out

gpu maybe failing/or its heatsink caked in dust

psu maybe failing/not upto the job

You failed to mention if it happens with just Skyrim or more than that.

If the latter, check your GPU (updates and slash or issues; it could be faulty or something) and slash or cable and slash or port.

If the former, we need a lot more details.

Are you overclocking either your cpu or graphics card (or, more precisely, your bandwidth for your card via the motherboard)? I recently had this problem due to fiddling with my clocks...but it came and went at odd times, and was particularly bad in skyrim.
