Creating new models and importing them into Skyrim?

Post » Fri Sep 07, 2012 3:49 am

I want to get this clear. These are my models, I made them. But, I have to convert them to either Oblivion or Morrowind Nif Format for them to work in Nifskope or even make it into a nif file. This is because Blender still lacks a proper, up-to-date Nif-plugin that works with Skyrim Nif formats.

So, to the point shall we? Anyways, I have countless of models, almost all of them architectural creations, and because it is architecture, I am unsure exactly how to convert them into Skyrim. In-fact, I cannot seem to get any form of new model into Skyrim, whether it be clothes, weapons, e.c.t. Though, I am not worried about clothes or weapons at the moment, I need to learn how to work the Nif-files I made, so I can successfully import them into Skyrim. My question, is then are there any Good up-to-date tutorials that work, that will explain this process or perhaps, someone here could be kind enough to help me through the process?

There's a good http://www.darkcreations.org/forums/topic/1920-exporting-static-meshes-for-skyrim-from-blender/ on how to export your meshes from Blender as well as the second big issue of how to create collision for it.
I started with this more http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1. It's about armor but the same principles apply to statics, just ignore the rigging/skinning portions. It doesn't talk about collision.
