Don't assume I'm a woman(the story)

Post » Fri Sep 07, 2012 3:00 pm

Ive never done the marriage thing before today. I bought the amulet and went about playing normally until I meet this person. I forget his name, he was an argonion in the companions house, but I spoke to him and then he proceeded to tell me how he was interested in me. I was in full armour so he must have rudely assumed I was a woman.
So I went along with it, agreed to the marriage, went to the church and started the wedding. When asked if I was sure I replayed with no and then proceeded to beat his head in with a mace.
This isn't me hating on gay marriage but don't assume me, a 6 foot plus Orc. Who happens to be Dovahkiin and has killed hundreds of foes, is a woman. It seems quite rude to just assume everyone is a woman. Anyway he's dead now so we are even

He assumed that your Orc was looking for someone to marry. When asked your Orc said "Yes I would like to marry you." At which point you set up the wedding and waiting for the lucky man to show up where you killed him thinking to yourself "Why did you think I would marry you? Just because I said I would marry you means nothing you stupid like lizard!"

Your Orc has taken too many blows to the head, he needs just one swift slice to the neck.

Are you still looking for stuff to fight about from a story. If you enjoyed the story comment, if not just leave

Agreed, the story makes no sense in its current context and state, especially given the Argonian isn't blind and it's pretty easy to tell males and females apart, even in armor, even full-face helmeted.

So, basically, your Orc is entirely evil, purposefully approaching people with the intent to marry them, agreeing to marry them, and then killing them at the wedding? Okay... it's not a terribly convincing character, but okay.

Not in all cases.

I had to change some parts of the story because people mistook it and got offended. It made a lot more sence before hand

Not in all cases.

In which armor can you not tell? Dwarven, maybe the least obvious, but still obvious.

Man, I thought I was the only one who had this problem! Just the other day I was walking down the road wearing a sign that read 'ASK TO MARRY ME' and this impudent fool came along and asked if he could marry me, of all things. I know, right? How dare he! Anyway, he's in a ditch now. Yeesh, some people.

Exactly. Plus, if I'm in full on RP mode, that "woman" could just be a skinny guy.

I see no reason to discuss this as it brings all sorts of social problems to bear.
