Diseases and their apparent irrevelancy

Do you think any of the Diseases actually are very harmful to your character? They don't affect you too much, do they?

That and the Werewolf form (disease or no, you decide), yes, but the other, more minor looking diseases are what I am talking about.

One quarter less melee damage, and getting it lots, I have forgone better enchantments to wear a necklace of disease immunity. Everything else is the slightest of inconveniences. Never thought I would miss Astral Vapours.

Werewolf form isn't really a disease, and to be honest, I haven't found that many diseases. Maybe that's because I'm a werewolf. I'm totally immune to diseases. Yeah...

Should be diseases which actually kill you unless you get yourself healed or follow treatment. Make it a bit deeper.

Yeah, would give a sense of danger/immediacy to your situation. Imagine being infected in a deep cave. And slowly but surely, you get slower, your attacks get clumsier and your vision becomes slightly blurred. Then you would have a short amount of time to escape to a piece of civilization.

i like this idea, maby even one that makes u go blind, imagine being completely blind and trying to escape that same cave, maby thats a little to dire but could be fun.

(Howl) Werwolf (Howl)

Being Werwolf

Good

No Diseases
More Powerful when you have the Perk Tree

Bad

Lose a one handed thing which was 8 hours anyway. So 8 minutes of gameplay

My main complaint is that Argonians are not immune to disease and poison...

Yet another thing simplified and dumbed down.
However, with the game so simplified as to not even use attributes anymore (almost worst mistake they ever made) what would diseases do?

Slow you down, make you weaker, maybe even the more deadly ones would kill you. Your vision would be blurred, your movement slowed, your attacks weaker, your stamina lowering... you attempt to escape back to civilization before you completely succumb to the disease. Maybe a bit too harsh, but it would be more realistic!

Just like Daggerfall.
I like it.
However, without attributes, how would a disease go about making you slower and weaker?
Strength and speed no longer exist and no matter what the 'im glad attributes are gone' crowd insists, absolutely not everything they did is still in the game.
