I've searched through the forum, and looked at the UESP, but have not found anything about the clam diggers camp having safe storage - haven't found much on the place at all. The UESP states there are more safe locations than what they have listed. Does anyone know if the barrels and sacks at the camp are safe? My primative character uses it as his home. I don't want him to lose his food, pelts, or soul gems. I also don't want to carry around 200 lbs of those items. Currently I drop the pelts on the ground, but I'm worried they will clear after a while. I have also been dropping trophies from kills on the ground. He has quite the pile since clearing the Thalmor from the nearby fortress. He'll teach those "civilized" "people" to invade his territory.

Well you could always try by puting something useless in a container and wait for a respawn (if it happens). Generally, outdoor camps aren't safe for storage.

Test it! Barrels and sacks usually aren't safe. Cupboards and end tables are. Not sure about chests, I tested one that wasn't, but I don't know if that's a general rule.

Clam Diggers Camp? I haven't seen that. I've seen a Crabblers Shanty. Are you sure that's not it?
