Recommend some speakers without the blinding light

Post » Sat Sep 08, 2012 12:24 pm

Can anyone recommend me some good and affordable pc speakers that don't have a blinding light flashing in my eyes when I turn them on? I have very sensitive eyes, and when the speakers I have now turn on the light feels like it is burning me to the back of my head. I usually use these for my tv since the volume isn't as great on the tv.

Any help? I can't seem to find any without the stupid light....

Perhaps a small piece of tape covering the light up? (black electrical tape, if that matches the speakers better?)

edit: hmm. And either the thinner kind of masking tape, or a small pinhole poked near the edge, could still let out a bit of light. So that you can tell that they're on or not. Just a thought.

The small LED on the speakers blinds you but the TV doesn't?

I use these speakers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121014

The only light is on the tiny control pod, and that can be easily turned away from you without hindering your ability to use it.

Care to elaborate on what you define as "good" and "affordable"?

To me, these are the cheapest good PC speakers after researching it for my next buy (though I'm not going to end up going with them for a few reasons):

Speakers aren't something to cheap out on at all if you enjoy your sounds.
