I'm a hero, where are the monuments?

You would think with me (or you) being the Dragon born/hero and savior of Skyrim and what not that people would kneel before the most powerful being in the land. Or at least build monuments of me? I save the world from destruction and what do I get? Nothing. No one seems to give a damn.

It would be nice in future Elder Scrolls games if you could find books and statues of your character from past games. When I played through Skyrim I didn't read or find anything related to the hero of the Oblivion Crysis. I mean seriously? What the hell...

Next game, if you still have your Skyrim save on your Hard drive TES:6 should have a statue of the Dragon born wearing whatever it he was wearing during your last save of Skyrim. Or at least books and stories being told of the hero.

This is something that has always bothered me. I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED DAMNIT! lol

I agree completely. They only refer to the Oblivion Crisis and the Hero of Kvatch but that's really it. It was nice getting that cool statue in Oblivion after closing the main gate though. It was cool because the statue would have on what you were wearing and what weapon was equipped at the time it was built. I could easily see a statue of the Dragonborn being implemented into one of the main cities like Whiterun or Solitude.

I would picture Skyrim to have more monuments and momentums than a game like Oblivion. Both main quests were heroic but in TES: V you're the Dragonborn and savior of Skyrim. If that doesn't deserve a statue I don't know what would!

do you think the nords would really want the history of the dragonborn who stopped alduin to be immortalized as an argonian? Khajiit? or (sovengarde forbid) a High Elf? No matter the race of the dragonborn im sure the stuck-up nords would record the history of the dragonborn with him/her being a nord.

I made a thread about this about a month back. I atleast think they should make some of the NPC's show signs that they are grateful. And make the guards leave me the hell alone.

Some of the NPC's treat you like dirt despite you jumping on the head of a dragon that just landed in their town and was about to fry them alive. Now, I don't expect all the NPC's to like me especially when you just start the game and you are a no body but after you finish the main quest you should be shown a bit of respect and maybe get a few special discounts at select stores.
