A good idea for some people.

Something I would really like implemented in skyrim is the option to adjust my screen resolution. As in, pick the sides of where my TV screen ends. Because I have an older TV (normal not widescreen) and when I try to play skyrim normally it cuts off my health magika and stamina bars and everything below that. So I have to go into the Xbox system settings and set my Xbox resolution to widescreen. That allows me to just be able to see my health bars and magika and stamina, but nothing else. And it also
Makes text near impossible to read. I don't know if this will ever even get a second thought, but its one of the reasons skyrim isnt as pleasing for me.

Thoughts?

I can appreciate where you're coming from but your using equipment that's becoming outdated.

These old television sets exist still but walk into most shops and it's widescreen / flatscreen models all around.

So few people use these older sets that the Developers are not going to have it as a priority to adjust the game so you can adjust the borders.

You will hopefully be in a position to upgrade to a more modern television sometime soon.

I could not believe the difference and level of detail I got in "Oblivion" when I moved from SD to HD.

The decent thing is that when you finally get to HD you'll be impressed with the results.

Also if you're playing on a TV I'll presume you're on a console and if you've got a HALO Teabag gif for your avatar I'll presume you're playing on the XBox 360...

The XBox VGA Cable allows you to play your games on a PC monitor.

This can be much cheaper than buying an HD Television.

I went from SD to VGA before I went HD and you really notice a difference playing on a monitor with a sharper resolution.

Cool. But which one is the VGA cable? And on another not my computer monitor is about 20" smaller than my tv. So I can see how it works.
