Looking to make a Twohanded battle mage going axes and frost spells but having trouble deciding on light or heavy armor. I know the perks in each tree but wanted info based on personal builds and such. I will be smithing and enchanting my own gear.

Typically, Battle-Mages use Heavy Armor. Spellswords stick with light.

Given how your character is using Frost Spells, I would go with Heavy Armor. Your foes will be slowed down, and you don't need to be much faster than them because of that. Better to sacrifice speed for protection.
