The end of my favorite character ever..

Post » Mon Sep 10, 2012 10:19 pm

Yes people. Everything has an end. But this one svcks.
It's my Khajiit character. I made him for one goal: Be the dragonborn.
This is his story in short:

Jixx is 21 years old. He was bored of his homeland so he passed the border because he wanted an adventure.
When he tried to pass the border, he was getting arrested. (The beginning scene of the game)
But when his head was about to get cut off, he saw a dragon. A big, big dragon.
You know how the first quest goes, get through the first dungeon, and then you can choose whatever you want to do.
Well, Jixx didn't know a thing about the empire, the only thing he knew was: I have to stop this.
He just joined the Stormcloaks in the dungeon for no reason.

Now, you guys all know the mission, you go to Whiterun, Western Watchtower, kill your first dragon blablabla.

But now, he killed Alduin. He did everything he could possibly do. But he trained alot.
He knew he was good in stealing things. it is the thing he did in his homeland, because otherwise, he wouldn't survive it.
So he joined the thiefs guild. He trained, and trained and trained. Till he was ready. He became a friendly assassin.
He only killed the bad people, and not the good.

But then, when he killed Alduin. He knew his job was done here. There were still Dragons.
But there were enough dragonhunters to kill them.

He left Skyrim as a hero.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So. Now, I will have to start a new character, with a good background story. This was a very simple one, but I liked it.
I hope you guys can help me with making a new character, maybe some nice tips? Oh forgot to mention this:
I like characters with a goal. So not just a character that is a hunter or something. I want to do something, and then make another character.
If you know what I'm saying.

Thanks!

-Frank.

And Jixx.

The easiest thing to me would be to think of a quest or line of quests that you want to complete, and then create a character to do that, just like you did for the main quest. I mean, that worked out pretty well for you!

I created a character, a Nord warrior, specifically to go through the Companions questline and to complete the Civil War questline on the Stormcloak side. I didn't even take her through the main quest, although I probably will go back to her and do that. At some point, I'll also probably make a character specifically to join the Imperials. Or make a mage to go through the College of Winterhold--especially if you're not used to playing magic characters, this might be a nice change of pace for you!

Hey thanks for the feedback! Yes, I was thinking of some deeper going quest lines.. But no, I just don't like magic, it doesn't fits me..

I created a paladin who's sole purpose was to obtain and retrieve all of the daedric artifacts so that they could not be used. Got her to mid 30s, retired her. Had a ton of fun with her, didn't even do bleak falls or nothing.

Yeh, I know what you mean. Jixx is level 36. And it is time to retire him.

I said that about warriors, and yet I had a blast playing as one in Skyrim. You might like it more than you think!

I'm interested to hear what builds you went with, with those characters. Were they destruction focused?

One was a dark elf mage. It was fun, for a short time.
And the other one was illusion focussed.
I just don't really like it..

Oh, man, Illusion! I made a sneaky mage, Illusion-focused, with Sneak and Pickpocket. She'd Frenzy or Fear people from afar, creating confusion, or sneak around behind people and plant poisons in their pockets. I never quite got to the point where she could pickpocket people of their weapons and armor and make them fight each other naked, but that was the goal!

Seemed pretty darn fun to me, but whatever rolls your socks down!

Try RP'ing a total nobody. Clumsy, inexperienced, basically a good for nothing, afraid of his own shadow. If you're on PC you can even set every skill to 0. I made awesome characters with these few basic rules.

Congrats on completing your goals and enjoying your character!

I just started a Paladin of sorts whose goal is simply to stomp out undead and evil. She is a warrior with restoration and alteration skills.

Although you don't care for mages, I just finished an Arcane Archer who conjured up minions and used Bound Bow exclusively for offense. Never needed to worry about arrows!

Now I am playing a Khajiit theif who just goes around breaking into homes and also dungeon delving with the sole purpose of becoming rich!

I hope you can find another character that you can really get into like your first one!

I liked your story about Jixx. It's things like this that make me realise how people enjoy RPing in Skyrim. He seemed like a nice character to play.

Maybe try a spellsword character, so that you can use both swords and magic? That would allow you to try out the College of Winterhold quest line.

Or maybe create a character that just uses bound bows/swords?

Hmm, the only thing I liked about the mages is the College. So maybe yes..
