Biggest Facepalm EVER!

Post » Tue Sep 11, 2012 3:49 pm

So while I was just chilling around on the forum, I was fooling around with my character in 3rd person and noticed a cool animation for a swing I've never seen before... So I begun to play around with different directions, and turns out power attacks are different depending on where your left joystick in facing.

Up (Only one I thought existed) = Lunging Attack

Down = Overhead Swing

Left = 180 Frontal Sweep

Right = 360 Full Sweep

:facepalm: I feel like the biggest noob considering I've been playing since the game came out hahahaha

Someone please tell me I'm not the only person ignorant on this knowledge....

It is the same thing in Oblivion and a little different in Morrowind. AFAIK, in Oblivion each power attack for each level of the Blade skill has a different animation. For example, my Argonian Knight at low levels used to power attack sideways by swinging sidearm, and now at 100 Blade skill the animationg for a side power attack has him spin and roundhouse stab the enemy.
