You've got it all wrong. The games are made by a basemant of elves. Hundreds and hundreds of elves, beavering away over workbenches with Todd standing behind them cracking a whip. Unfortunately, the basemant is sometimes infested with evil goblins that sneak bugs in when nobody is looking. To combat this, Bethesda hire teams of adventurers to hunt them down in deadly combat, but occasionally one catches an arrow in the knee. Dangerous business.

(Incidentally, the next person to spam the forum will also get an arrow in the knee.)
