I am unable to get the Housecarl in Markarth.
Talking to the Jarl or his steward offers nothing.
I have the furnished house, but no housecarl.
I am totally frustrated.
Either I missed a step somewhere or fell prey to a glitch or bug, but I cannot determine which.
Is there any history of problems obtaining the Markarth house carl?
