Elder Scroll Inventory Question

Post » Wed Sep 12, 2012 8:37 am

[Minor spoilers]

I have 3 elder scrolls in my inventory, the sun, dragon, and another one I forgot the name of. I don't need them any more, so I was wondering if there was any way I can keep them without having my inventory. I don't want to sell them because I don't need the money, and I still "want" them, but I can't store them in my house because they are still quest items.

Edit: I read somewhere that apparently 'quest items' don't weigh anything, but it still says they are 20 pounds. Is that true?

You can't. But you can sell them to Dexion the moth priest and pretend he'll take good care of them for you.

And yes, quest items are weightless, Elder Scrolls included.

Sell them to the College of Winterhold Librarian.

I guess elder scrolls aren't my problem then, but for some reason I'm always almost full in terms of carry weight, maybe it's all of my potions or something. Thanks :)

You can only sell the Dragon one to Urag if you haven't already bought it back and you can't sell the others to Dexion if you sided with the vamps

Since potions and Soul Gems all weigh .5 pounds, they can add up rather quickly. Be careful putting your filled soul gems somewhere, dropping them on the ground empties the soul. Which is good if you have a weak soul in a Grand Soul Gem. Some have reported that containers will remove the soul, however that has never happened to me.

So, find a container, and drop all your gems, soul gems, food, ingredients and potions. You might be surprised at just how much you have in Soul Gems and Potions alone. Then, take back what you really need for your upcoming adventures.
