Thing is I've got lots of crap like Elven knives and things that I've picked up which I don't really need, but at the same time I'm always short on things like Moonstone ingots. Can someone tell what's the best smelting mod out there for melting down stuff I don't need into ingots that I do need? Even better if such a mod is on Steam rather than me having to take up a space on NMM.

BTW: Does anyone else agree this ability should've been in the game from the start? Logically you should be able to melt things down with the smelters as well as make ingots out of ore.

I used "More Smelting Recipes" for a while. It felt a bit overpowered to be able to get almost everything you put in, but there it is.

I'd love being able to smelt more stuff from other stuff. But I get easily confused by a crowded smithing menu. If anyone has seen a mod that only makes the smithing menu show things you can actually make or break down, it would be much appreciated.
