The people of Skyrim want you to stay stupid, it seems.

Last night, I discovered Angi's Cabin for the first time. Cocky as I am, I said, "Yeah, I'm better than you in archery, so let's do this." I grab her practice arrows and start to take her tests.

I get to the one in which I'm to shoot the farthest target, then.... nothing. No more training, it seems. Thinking I missed (ha!), I try again. And again. And again. Okay, I know I'm hitting the target because my bow's enchantment bar is shrinking.

This isn't the first time I've run across this, either. I've run into several characters who have education to offer me, but give me 2 of their 5 levels before it just stops.

I don't want to harp on why this very annoying restriction's in place (Bethesda), but I do need to ask a question: Does anyone know what the caps are, per NPC?

I went to UESP, but can't find the info anywhere.

It now seems my Archery's too high to ever get Angi's Bow, which can only be offered in completing her course that's now off limits to me.

Oh, and feel free to rip apart why Skyrim wants to keep us stupid. ;)
